Robin's focus is on supporting students to become more flexible, stronger and mentally calm, in a non competitive, judgement free environment, no matter their level. Robin offers relaxing, yet challenging classes, in both Hatha and Vinyasa. Robin brings to her teaching an extensive background in experiential training and Social Work, as well as a passion for designing interesting, interactive, and hands-on educational programs.
Robin formed Yoga Rising in 2013 after practicing yoga for more then a decade. She continues her yoga teacher training since completing her Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT200). Robin found yoga to be a highly effective way to open up hips and shoulders, strengthen the back and core, and become more limber. Yoga is very helpful in enhancing her athletic performance as a competitive rower and improving flexibility and avoiding injuries, especially as she grows older.
Robin holds a National Gold Medal title (2015) in the Women's Pair event and attributes yoga to supporting her ability to continue to row and win over 150 medals as a Masters rower over the last 22 years.
Robin is a wonderful teacher! She is great at tailoring the yoga session to our specific needs for that particular week and making sure everyone feels involved and relaxed! I would recommend Robin's classes to anyone who wants to get in touch with their inner self while working on being mindful about their body.
